"You take care of me in the long run and I'll take care of you in the end." - Tim

Timothy (Tim) was a healthy Owings Mills High School sophomore athlete who died suddenly and unexpectedly at home from Sudden Cardiac Arrest/Death in 2011. As of date, Tim's family do not have an official diagnosis of the heart abnormality that contributed to his untimely death. An avid student-athlete, Tim excelled on the football field and in the classroom; achieving respect and admiration from his teachers, classmates, coaches, and teammates. His plans were to attend Boston College and major in sports medicine. He also had dreams of playing in the NFL and one day, owning a restaurant business.

Tim shared his faith and love for God with his family and friends. An absolute joy to be around, Tim laughed and smiled throughout his 16 years of life, bringing joy and happiness to every heart he touched. He was a comedian by nature as he loved to impersonate famous people. He was indeed a leader who stood out among the youth of his age. Tim often spoke these words to his teammates before a game, "You look out for me in the long run and I'll take care of you in the end."

Tim's promise will be kept and his legacy will live on. Tim's final tweet before his death, Real Football Players Don't Sleep - We Take Naps™ serves as the Foundation's governing message and focus-based initiative. Even in his death, Tim remains a constant memory to his family and to those who knew and loved him best. He is missed more than words can say!
